Workshops Go To Top

What is a Workshop?

"Something like a class, where you will get introduced into a new topic which will then be proved by some action or opened up for discussion."

We want people to have come out of each workshop having learnt something. Not just sitting listening to someone tell a story.

No, the name badges we prepare for you are your entry to the festival and you need to pick them up on the build-up day: Wednesday 19th April between 4:00 - 8:00 pm

What can / should we bring ourselves?

  • Your product! E.g. with 2 monitors, laptop, 3D printer, iPads, Smart-phones, hardware etc.
  • Promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, gadgets, goodies

Possible: Frameless Banner / poster / flag / balloons (max 10) to attach to the side of your stand; but respect your neighbours!
Not Possible: Pop-up banners or Beach Flags

Remember at any time the event organisers are retained the right to refuse any materials they deem inappropriate.  Please message seba@uprisefestival.co if you're unsure.

Dismantle / Build down times?

Startups will have the opportunity to load their cars on Wednesday night with their promotional materials after they've exhibited. The complete dismantling of the festival will also occur on the Thursday night.

IMPORTANT: Each exhibiting startup will be given 1 colour wristband. This wristband gives this member of the team the permission to remove things from the festival. Other team members won't be allowed for security reasons and security will be enforcing this over the festival, so please make sure the member who wears it is present for the breakdown.
